Welcome Home

A letter to everyone
who believes a room
can change a life.

Every issue starts with a foundation. Ours is named for one: Neev, the Hindi word for the base that holds a structure upright long after the paint has dried and the trends have moved on.

This year we built something we've wanted to make since our first site visit in Morabadi — a magazine that treats interior design the way we treat our projects: researched, honest, and unafraid to show the numbers behind the beauty. Inside, you'll find the earthy, tactile trends defining 2026 across the world, the data driving India's ₹2.9-lakh-crore design boom, a color forecast you can actually use, and a candid look inside how we build spaces for our own clients from concept to handover.

If a page here moves you — a palette, a stat, a room that looks like the one you've been picturing in your head — do us one favor: share it. Tag a friend who's finally renovating that spare room. Forward it to the colleague redoing their office. Save the page you'll want to revisit. Magazines like this only stay alive because readers pass them on, and we'd love for this one to travel.

"Exceptional interiors should never be a privilege of the few. They should be the standard every space deserves."

— The Neev Spaces Team, Founders' Note

Thank you for opening this issue. Whether you're furnishing your first flat or reimagining a corporate office, we hope the next thirty pages give you something to fall in love with — and a reason to reach out when you're ready to build it. Turn the page. Let's begin.

Ten Shifts Shaping
Interiors in 2026

After a decade of stark minimalism, the world's interiors are turning warmer, slower and more personal. Here's what our research — and our own client briefs — say is defining the year.

01
Modern Heritage
Classic mouldings, traditional millwork and historic silhouettes reworked with contemporary materials — bridging past and present rather than choosing one.
02
Deep, Earthy Colour
Iron, espresso and olive green are replacing cool greys. Chocolate brown holds its place as designers' top colour choice for a second year running.
03
Honest, Tactile Materials
Stone with visible movement, warm woods and hand-finished metals — chosen for how they feel, not just how they photograph.
04
Living-Finish Metals
Unlacquered brass, bronze and copper that are left to develop a patina over time, adding character rather than staying showroom-perfect.
05
Irregular, Sculptural Form
CNC-routed and steam-bent joinery lets furniture arc in continuous organic lines — softer silhouettes than the rigid geometry of recent years.
06
Pattern-on-Pattern
Thoughtfully layered prints and textures replace the single "statement" pattern — rooms that feel collected rather than curated.
07
Terracotta Underfoot
Terracotta tiles are having a documented comeback, bringing warmth and texture back to floors after years of cool stone and large-format tile.
08
Statement Mirrors
Oversized, sculptural mirrors are the new favourite way to add depth, light and drama to a room without a full renovation.
09
Lived-In, Personal Spaces
Vintage pieces, heirlooms and objects with a story are replacing cookie-cutter, trend-chasing interiors built purely for social media.
10
Tech Meets Tactility
Smart lighting and integrated automation are increasingly hidden inside sumptuous, tactile materials — spaces that think and feel in equal measure.

What's Falling Away

Goodbye, all-white walls.

Designers surveyed for 2026 were near-unanimous: stark, all-white rooms and "overly themed" spaces built purely for viral appeal are on their way out. In their place — rooms rooted in comfort, craftsmanship and personal meaning. It's a shift we've felt in our own client briefs too: fewer requests for a "look," more for a home that actually feels like one.

India's Interior Design
Boom, Charted

Design isn't just changing in look — it's growing fast in scale. Here's what the industry data says about where the market is headed.

Residential
segment CAGR

Residential interiors are the fastest-growing end-user segment in India, expanding on the back of rising disposable incomes and housing programmes that convert latent demand into finished, designed spaces. Commercial work still holds the larger overall share today — but retrofit-led office upgrades are spreading fast as companies invest in wellness-oriented, design-forward workplaces.

"India accounted for roughly 1% of the global interior design market a few years ago. That share is climbing fast."

About Neev Spaces

The Root of Beautiful Living

Neev Spaces Private Limited is a full-service interior design firm based in Jharkhand, dedicated to transforming residential homes, commercial establishments and turnkey projects into thoughtfully crafted environments.

Founded with a clear purpose — to make quality design accessible to every client — we combine global design sensibilities with a deep understanding of local context. We believe exceptional interiors shouldn't be a privilege of the few, but a standard every space deserves.

Neev Spaces was established to bridge the gap between conceptual architectural design and on-site engineering precision. Recognising the lack of standardised processes in the regional interior and construction sector, we formalised our operations to offer a single-window, turnkey solution that integrates technical expertise with streamlined project management.

Our growth is rooted in a commitment to structural integrity and high-performance materials. By aligning our workflows with global standards and securing an Authorised Service Partnership with Saint-Gobain Gyproc, we've moved beyond traditional contracting to offer data-backed interior solutions — from optimising spatial acoustics and thermal comfort to executing high-precision modular installations.

Headquartered in Morabadi, Ranchi, Neev Spaces continues to evolve by incorporating advanced digital tools and modern construction methodologies, ensuring every project is delivered on time, within budget, and to exact technical specifications.
